An Involuntary Tremor

An unforgettable Friday Night

Last Friday night, Peng was sending me home in he's reddy along CTE when we witnessed the aftermath of an accident which sent chilly tremors down my spine. For a moment I was stunned. Stoned. And scared.

The accident involved a taxi & a motorcycle. I saw the body of the owner of the motorcycle by the road, laying motionlessly under the piece of white cloth. I guessed it was a case of instant death. I was really scared. I swear I felt like I could cry just there and then (even though I have no freaking idea who that person is) but no tears welled up. All there was, was a very painful grab in my heart. The first thought that sprung to my mind: Parents. Just Imagine. Put yourself in their position. In the middle of the night at 1+ close to 2am. A phone call at home from the police, saying your son/daughter was involved in an accident and has passed away. How more painful and sudden can that be? That you couldn't even bid a last goodbye to your very own flesh and blood. That you couldn't even see him/her eyes opened again. That you couldn't ever see him/her smile, laugh, talk, cry, angry ever again.... Who knows? Just before he/she left home, you had a tiff. & now? He/She is gone. You weren't even given that chance to say, "I'm sorry." Or you haven't even said, "I love you" There are so many unfinished business. And just overnight, you just wished you had one more day. Just ONE more day. Or even ONE hour. But no. Time waits for no man. When god wants you back, you have to go....

This incident struck me real hard. It caused a really huge impact on me. Maybe it was the first time seeing a dead body under the piece of white cloth. You always see that on the Tv, in Tv dramas...... But trust me on this, it totally sucks to see it in reality. I have the habit of speeding. At times. Or let's just say I drive like a guy instead of a girl. (Like what some have commented.) Girls are stereo-typed to be extremely cautious and careful drivers. Any slow drivers infront of you, people go:"Wah piang! Confirm lady driver!" And I'm not classified in that category. Maybe I inherited some of dad's skillful driving. But anyway, the point is, this incident made me not want to drive fast again. (Though I still want to be Singapore's first Female F1 Racer =X) Not in the sense of slow SLOW. But least slower than before. And it made me think of Jie..... Jie's always riding very fast. I have always been very worried for him, just that I do not exactly go nagging at him like a parent. Though it's just constant remindings of brief "Ride carefully ah, don't ride too fast." But I really really meant it. To those who drive, ok at least you are safely protected by metal around you. But to riders, please, ride safely and treasure your lives. Even if it's not for yourself, spare a thought for people who love you so dearly. Don't be willful and selfish.

Saturday was a special special day. Many got married on this day. Because of the "Auspicious" Date. Whereas, some, may be cooped at home, crying their hearts out over a broken relationship.... Many different things are happening at every part of the world at the same moment...
As for me, I am going to say this, short and sweet:
"I had a well-spent and happy day!" =D
Happiness plays such an important part to each of our lives isn't it? :)

Today, I went for a lesson in the morning @ Seng Kang. My newest girl. I was holding back my laughter so much I think I am internally injured now. Science. We were on Cycles. Where there were stuff like life cycles of a butterfly. Egg->Larva->Pupa->Adult
Guess what? That silly girlie went "Papu" instead of "Pupa". *LAUGHS OUT HILARIOUSLY LOUD* Omg. Why do my students entertain me so much? =D Eugene, on the other hand, would prolly go: "Its a happy happy day, & a lolly lolly day!" Haha! Gosh, all the baby kiddy language. I'm feeling like a kid all over again. X)

While waiting for my next lesson, I'm off to fix my car's tail lamp now. Woo Hoo. I loveeeeeeeee cars. My car especially. 2 words: "HOR EH!" Cool tutor eh? *Wink
Oh yes, and it's durian night with the big family today! Anxiously waiting for night to fall! Yummy yummy yummy!

PS: Ah Seah, don't you wish you're here with me now? LOL! I Miss you darling! A public kiss for you! *Mmuack =D
